In this workshop participants select a compelling work of art from the reVision exhibit and seek to celebrate and explore it in words.

Use a photo of your choice as a prompt for four separate stories. Get your creative juices flowing and spark your memories in this fun and stimulating workshop. Launch or jumpstart a memoir, a new journal, or create an archive for family or friends. This class is open to all levels. Come with a spirit of fun and a willingness to share!

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Painted Word poetry series, students and community members are invited to write original poems describing or inspired by the wide range of visual art on view in the Fleming Museum galleries.
Writers of selected poems will be invited to read at The Painted Word on April 18, and a collection of submitted poems will be printed in a booklet available to Museum visitors. We will let you know by April 3, whether your poem has been selected for the reading and/or the booklet.
