"It's Criminal" Film Screening

  • Norwich Public Library 368 South Main Street Norwich, VT, 05055 United States (map)

It's Criminal is a feature documentary sharing the life-changing journeys of incarcerated women and Dartmouth College students working together to write and perform a play grounded in the life experiences of the imprisoned women. A potent critique of the economic and social inequities that divide the United States, the film also offers a poignant and inspiring story of how empathy can help bridge the divide.

After the film, we'll have a Q&A with two formerly incarcerated women who share their stories in the film, Ivy Schweitzer and Pati Hernandez, the Dartmouth professors featured in the film, and Signe Taylor, the director.
